Welcome!

We are grateful to be able to garden and experience this slice of nature on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Cottonwood Community Garden is a volunteer-managed community garden in East Vancouver. The Garden includes 120 garden plots and 2 acres of communal spaces, including a Native Plant Garden and an Asian Plant Garden.

Cottonwood was started in 1991 when community activists reclaimed an industrial waste site. We continue to advocate for health and wellbeing through gardening and stewarding the land on Vancouver's Eastside.
